About Delta Phi

Founded at Union College in Schenectady, New York on November 17th, 1827, Delta Phi Fraternity is the third-oldest social fraternity in the country and the oldest to operate continuously since founding. Established on the principles of Friendship, Morality, and Literature known as our “Three Pillars,” Delta Phi has maintained a tradition of establishing chapters at colleges and universities with the highest standards of academic achievement. The related St. Elmo Foundation provides support for individual members and chapters through grants, scholarships, and educational programming. The Foundation currently maintains an endowment of over $15,000 per individual member, an amount unmatched by any other Greek Letter organization.
